Room Modes
A room is a generic space — but you can set a mode to shape how it’s used. Modes change the layout, the default canvas state, and the ambient feel of the room.
Available modes
Section titled “Available modes”🧠 Brainstorm — Available
Section titled “🧠 Brainstorm — Available”The default mode. A blank canvas with post-its, free-form text, and chat. Good for: ideas, planning sessions, quick syncs.
🎓 Study — Available
Section titled “🎓 Study — Available”A quieter layout. The canvas shows a shared note editor. Presence is visible but unobtrusive. Good for: revision sessions, reading groups, focused co-working.
💻 Dev Session — Coming soon
Section titled “💻 Dev Session — Coming soon”A room optimized for coding together. Will include a shared code snippet area and links to external tools (GitHub, Vercel, etc.).
🎥 Watch Party — Coming soon
Section titled “🎥 Watch Party — Coming soon”Embed a YouTube video and watch it in sync with everyone in the room. Chat appears alongside the video.
🎮 Social Hangout — Coming soon
Section titled “🎮 Social Hangout — Coming soon”A looser, more social room. Think of it as a digital living room. Emphasis on presence and casual chat.
Changing the mode
Section titled “Changing the mode”Click the room mode indicator in the top bar and select a different mode. This changes the layout for everyone in the room instantly.
